Bronze Horse Sculptures and Studies by Kate Woodlock

Kate Woodlock is in the process of producing a new range of equestrian sculpture.  The range includes both Foundry Bronze and Resin Bronze studies of horses in action.  Full figure horse sculptures and detailed head studies form the basis of this collection along with eventing horses recently commissioned and completed.  All these pieces are produced as limited editions and are designed to explore the vivacity, power and movement of horses.

Kate has regularly exhibited in London at the Mall Gallery and at Mayfair and Westminster galleries with the Society of Equestrian Artists and the Society of Women Artists.  Through the Surrey Sculpture Society and The Society of Sculptors in the South, she has exhibited outside London at Wisley, Saville Gardens and other locations in Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex.  Her work is often on show at Obsidian Art in Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire and The Apple Gallery in Godalming, Surrey.  Her horse sculpture is used in Lloyds Private Banking sponsored charity exhibitions.

Kate works in clay from which the finished pieces are cast in bronze or resin bronze.  Trained at Bath Academy of Art and Medway College of Design, Kate spent 10 years sculpting for the film industry.  Since the birth of her daughter, she has worked as a freelance sculptor and is now concentrating on her own work including commissions.  She lives in Hampshire UK with her husband, her daughter, her dog, her cats and a studio full of projects.
